Demand

People complement each other. Everything in nature comes to balance by being two. Female with male, soul with body, stew with rice. Mr. Coffee’s warmth creates a delicious affogato with Ms. Icecream’s coldness in this artwork. A pure balance of two pleasant flavors.

“Need” is the first painting of the “Beautiful Mind” collection that I drew in the first painting class I attended. In general, this work had many firsts that I would like to describe.

In the last semester of my student life, I met Ms. Jihadi in a gallery in Kerman. Ms. Jihadi held painting classes to nurture children’s creativity and agreed to teach me painting as well. Before starting my class, I had been painting for a year without any basic training. Painting gave me a strange focus, and I was strongly satisfied by finishing an artwork. But Ms. Jihadi was a turning point in my artistic development. Ms. Jihadi taught me how to enjoy creating, which has been an insatiable experience for me so far.

At my teacher’s suggestion, we started working on Beautiful Mind’s collection. The beautiful mind is the mind of all people who, regardless of their actual age, think like an innocent child and are interested in imagining everything in an ideal way for themselves. In a beautiful mindset, people are somehow involved in their perfectionist thoughts, despite having thousands of problems that they may suffer from in the real world.
